A clouded day will come,
and then- with it -the rain
may bring us discomfort,
and maybe… even pain.

When troubled skies are dark
…and I can see no blue,
sometimes, then, I worry
and wonder what to do.

We seldom see rainbows
until a storm has passed.
There is always heartache
before the peace that lasts.

Some blessings are hidden
under troubles we see,
but they make us stronger
and lead to harmony.

Our greatest gifts may be
the roadblocks in our day.
Though made by unseen hands,
they show a better way.

The skies still may darken
and stormy winds still blow,
but there's calm in the storm
for our spirits to know.

Whatever befalls us,
…when faith is holding
true,
the angels around us
will surely see us through.
